1. Phenolic FRP Grating Product Description
Phenolic FRP Grating is a fiberglass-reinforced structural grating manufactured with a phenolic resin system. Compared with standard polyester or vinyl ester FRP grating, it is developed for applications requiring stronger fire performance, lower smoke generation and reduced toxic fume emissions.
The grating combines fire-safety performance with corrosion resistance, electrical non-conductivity and a high strength-to-weight ratio. It can be supplied in molded or pultruded construction according to the required load, clear span, panel layout and installation environment.

01. What is the difference between phenolic grating and standard FRP grating?
The main difference is the resin system. Standard FRP grating normally uses polyester or vinyl ester resin, while phenolic grating uses phenolic resin to provide improved flame, smoke and toxicity performance.
02. Is phenolic FRP grating fireproof?
Phenolic grating offers stronger fire performance than conventional FRP grating, but it should not be described as completely fireproof. Its actual flame spread, smoke development and fire-integrity classification depend on the product construction and applicable test report.
03. Is molded or pultruded phenolic grating better?
Molded phenolic grating provides multidirectional reinforcement and is suitable for complex layouts and frequent cut-outs. Pultruded phenolic grating normally provides greater strength in the bearing-bar direction and is better suited to longer spans or higher directional loads.
