FAQ
Q1: Are you a trading company or a manufacturer?
We are a manufacturer, as you can see from our workshop photos. View workshop photos
Q2: Do you have your own brand name?
Yes, Mingchi is our brand name.
Q3: What is your company's area?
40,000 square meters.
Q4: How many workers does your company have?
Over 100 workers.
Q5: Where is your market, or where have your products been exported?
Mach’s products have been exported to Europe, USA, Asia, and other regions.
Q1: How to get to your factory?
You can fly to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, and we will meet you there. If there’s no flight available, you can arrive at Shanghai (Hongqiao or Pudong) and we will pick you up.
Q2: What is your production time?
Normally 30 working days.
Q3: What is the delivery date?
It depends on your order quantity, and can be negotiated.
Q1: What are the standard full sizes of FRP grating?
The standard full sizes are 1.22×2.44m, 1.22×3.66m and 1×4m.
Q2: Can the size of FRP grating be customized?
Customization is available within the range of standard full sizes. For sizes exceeding the standard range, the grating needs to be split into multiple pieces.
Q3: Is it easy to cut FRP grating on my own?
Yes, it is easy. Mark the required size and cut the grating with an angle grinder. Note that different cutting methods will result in different material losses.
Q4: Are all customized FRP gratings with edge trimming?
Standard full-size gratings come with full edge trimming. For customized sizes, edge trimming is not universal and includes three-side trimming, opposite-side trimming and adjacent-side trimming. If the customized size is exactly cut to the hole position, there will be no edge trimming. You can consult our customer service for the nearest edge-trimmed size or opt for edge sealing (edge sealing is charged separately per meter).
Q5: Are FRP grating panels and FRP grating covers the same?
No, they are not the same. FRP grating panels are perforated and water-permeable, while FRP grating covers are sealed with patterned plates on the surface. Please specify your required type clearly.
Q6: What is the standard thickness of FRP grating covers?
The standard thickness of most grating covers is 1mm, and thickening is available upon request.
Q7: What are the common thicknesses and corresponding specifications of FRP grating?
Common specifications are as follows:
- 25mm thickness: 38×38×25mm, 25×50×25mm, 25×38×19mm (main grid: 38×38mm)
- 30mm thickness: 38×38×30mm
- Corresponding standard sizes: 1.22×3.66m, 1.22×4.04m, 1×4.04m
Q8:What are the complete model ranges of FRP grating?
The grating models include:
- 25mm series: 25×38×38, 25×40×40, 25×43×43, 25×50×25, 25×38×19
- 30mm series: 30×38×38, 30×40×40, 30×50×25
- 38mm series: 38×38×38, 38×40×40, 38×38×19
- 50mm series: 50×50×50, 50×40×40, 50×38×38, 50×100×100
- 65mm series: 65×52×52
Q9: What are the national and non-national standards for the rib width of FRP grating?
For national standard grating: the upper rib width is 7mm and the lower is 5mm. For non-national standard grating: the upper rib width is 6mm and the lower is 4.5mm. A slight upper and lower deviation is normal for molded grating during demolding.
Q10: What are the main components of FRP grating?
The main components are resin, yarn, color paste and stone powder. 191 resin and 7 bags of stone powder are used for conventional production.
Q11: Are there different resin types for FRP grating, and when to choose a specific type?
There are various resin types available (e.g., 196 resin, 3301 resin, 901 resin). Please inform us in advance if you have special requirements such as acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, and we will select the appropriate resin type for you.
Q12: Why do some FRP gratings have small cracks on the surface?
FRP grating is a handcrafted product made by skilled workers with no mature mechanized production line yet. The grating is woven by crisscross yarns: excessive yarn layers will expose white yarn or small holes on the top, while fewer layers will be fully impregnated with resin. Excessive resin may cause small cracks on the top resin layer down to the yarn layer. These minor defects do not affect the service life and normal use of the grating.
Q13: What are the characteristics of the front and back of FRP grating?
The front of FRP grating is smooth and flat. The back has fiber filaments, which is not as aesthetically pleasing as the front (similar to the bottom of a car), but the product is still economical and durable.
Q1: What are the available payment terms?
The standard full sizes are 1.22×2.44m, 1.22×3.66m and 1×4m.
Q2: How long is the warranty period?
FRP products generally require no maintenance. To protect customers, we offer a three-year shelf life.
